I was proud and delighted about how everyone came together to support such a good cause on Friday 13th March 2015. It was wonderful to see us all united in fund raising for Red Nose Day and I am very happy to announce that we raised a very respectable £150.

The funds came from a several ideas; a Comic Relief Sweepstake – our sweepstake queen Nicky did a great job summoning support, Jayne was the lucky winner and obviously Comic Relief was the beneficiary too…

For sponsorship money Jill, Jayne, Lucy, Rhiannon, Nicky and Mandie made their faces “Funny for Money” and as you can see from the photos there were some very funny faces – some even funnier than usual! Haha!

Jill was the hands down winner as she’d gone the extra mile by making HER face look just like the face on her Red Nose – Jill was Professor Snotty for the day… (I’m saying nothing!)

I would say the funniest moments were when each of us forgot how ridiculous we looked and continued in the day’s duties oblivious to this. Lucy, of course wins the prize for Glamour Puss as Minny Mouse and Jayne’s fluorescent orange wig with bones as hair clips had us thinking we were going to hear Fred bellowing “WILMAAA!!!” at any moment…

Obviously the cupcakes were a big winner and hearty thanks to Sarah a company friend who happily donated her time and ingredients to us to aid the cause.

Fourways very generously topped off a lucrative day with Friday McDonald’s budget that brought us up to the final total. We all brought in food donations so that we could still have a Friday treat – many thanks to everyone who donated to the cause.

I have to say whilst sitting and watching the Comic Relief TV on Friday evening it was a wonderful feeling to know that we’d all done our best to support such a legendary and life changing cause. Perhaps we can do even better in 2017?
