A Day in the life of a Sales Support Executive
So now you know what a day in the life of a Reservation Agent includes, as well as the Support Officer – now it’s time to learn about what happens within the Sales and Marketing Department at Fourways Vehicle Solutions.
Lucy has recently taken on the role of Sales Support Executive working alongside the Sales and Marketing team.
Lucy joined the company two years ago in 2014 after leaving college. She already had experience in customer service and marketing from the events industry, and we thought she was perfectly suited to the role.
Lucy began her time here at Fourways in the reservations team dealing with commercial, specialist and standard vehicle requests, pre-checking reservations and assisting with general queries including breakdown or accident emergencies.
Before long, Lucy also began to take on responsibility for customer reporting working with Mandie (find out more about Mandie here). After 15 months in her role, Lucy then undertook ad-hoc duties to assist the sales team which culminated in her joining them at the start of this year.
The Sales Support Executive role includes:
- Regular customer account contact
- Generating weekly/monthly management reports for customers
- Ensuring any customer queries or issues are logged and resolved to the customers’ satisfaction
- Liaising with our Reservations team for quotes and vehicle availability
- Involvement in social media coverage and website updates
- Generating and following up on new business leads
- General marketing support
The sales support role covers a wide range of duties and consists of regular communication between reservations and sales. At Fourways we pride ourselves on exceptional customer service and this role is vital to promote that.
